Get adjustable cam gears and retard both cams a lot, or retard them 1 tooth on the stock gears. According to my dyno simulation program, retarding the cam timing (the equivalent of 1 tooth) on a stock non-turbo gains almost as much power as aftermarket cams. It showed over 20hp gain, and shows the power holding up for an extra 1000 rpms. I believe the program to be accurate since the power showed right for a stock 4g63 non-turbo when I plugged in the specs for the engine, including the stock cams and head flow data.
