St. Catharines,
I had purchaced a brand new set of wheels early on this summer (still not yet installed), 17 X 7, 38mm offset with 225/45/17 tires. and unfourtunatly for me, did not realize the limitations regarding the tire widths. I would like to get 245's on my car. Now I understand that this is not going to happen on these rims. So I have been looking at wheel spacers, to move the wheels out a bit for a better stance and was wondering if it would be unsafe to use these 25mm spacers? The other option is to make a set of 5mm shims (with stock studs) until I can buy another set of 17 X 8 rims with proper offset. (no money for a while, a couple years down the road)

) I don't want to look like I'm driving a rollerskate, just want a better stance and handling. As long as this is not a safety issue, I would like to do it. If I deside to go to some track days or do some agressive driving, do the adapters pose a saftey risk?
