This weekend i went to the track and all i could manage was a 13.1 @ 104 with a 1.888 60' With my Hahn racecraft 20G. I realize the turbo has the big 10CM hotside, and that could be causing the lag, I mean every gear its like a pretty big delay for my boost to get to around 22PSI. I have ECMlink V3 so maybe i just need more tuning. Also would an EVO 8 Maf help any?

Check for exhaust leaks pre turbo. My exhaust manifold had some leaks on my 16g setup and fixing the leaks changed the spool dramatically.

Make sure you have a five layer gasket between your head and exhaust manifold.

Car has a greddy 24R FMIC, Full 3 IN exhaust with a HKS carbon Ti- Tip no cat

Do you think i could run around 25-28 psi(with proper ecmlink tuning) Check my profile im updated

Also car is close to full Weight 3150

An evo8 maf would help once you exceed the reading capability of the 2g maf. It would help with achieving higher hp, and is slightly less restrictive but wouldn't make a night and day difference spool wise.
That is not the issue here. The OP is not coming close to exceeding the reading capability of the stock MAF. That only happens in extreme cases (very high horsepower cars) and is not an issue for 99% of the DSM owners here. And with the ease of being able to quickly convert to speed density with ECMlink, there's really no need for an Evo MAF these days.

Regardless, the MAF isn't what's causing the issue here. I would do as others have suggested and make sure you don't have exhaust leaks and focus on the tuning, as well as the obvious stuff that people have been suggesting forever - smooth intake hard pipe, big clean high flow air filter, porting the exhaust manifold, turbine housing, and O2 housing. Going with a FP exhaust manifold would probably help due to the runner design. I'd use a high temp coating on the manifold as well. The hotter the exhaust gases remain heading into the turbo the better. I noticed you're running HKS cams... ever consider GSC S1 cams? I've been reading more and more about them being a better cam, and the S1's might help spool over the split set you're using now. But at a quick glance, it doesn't seem like the spool is all that bad for that turbo. You might be able to improve it a little, but it's not like you're seeing terrible lag for a 20g.

Sounds about right.. When my car was FWD my fastest trap was 107 @ 19psi on 18'' street tires spinning through second. AWD netted me a lower time of I think 13.9 @ 104-5 breaking up real bad in 3rd and 4th. Your results seem pretty normal to me, could be a little driver error??

I just love how no log was ever given while everyone shoots in the dark here.

Post a log. :thumb:

The next best thing to look into is no lift to shift, that should help with your times and boost found in your friendly dsmlink.
