i use royal purple...i concur with L2r...no tick. i like it better than mobil one because it came highly recommended and is only like $.50 more then mobil a quart. i ahve yet to get the gear oil, but thats soon. as for his claims....maybe he went from walmart brand to a great synthetic and the butt dyno is happy....or....it came so highly recommended that its placebo and hes just imagining it.

this website shows a 2002 nissan altima getting 13+ hp...
note: this is a 2002!@!@! what do you think would happen to a 1995 with far less technological advances?
ive seen websites with more HP gains from the intake , with dyno results, but i dont feel like searching again....oh and yes 5 hp gains are made through the 4k rpm range, but after that the results are almost 10+ more HP then that.....note 2: I did not see much HP gain from the oil over the 4k rpm range, it was from 4k and up

You cant compare your car with a Nissan Altima, two entierly different cars. This proves nothing, show me a dyno of this intake on a 2G NT.

for all the knowleds everyone around here seems to have about cars and DSM especially, why is it so hard to beleive that an oil could do something like that to a car(closer to 20 then most of you think).....its all about basics, the oil lubes the freekin source of power....every mechanical bend, twist, connection, gear, steals power from there...make the engine run smoother, more power to the wheels.....
please do not close this thread, I am going to email Royal Purple and get some dyno results....everyone is probably right, its not a 20hp gain, but its probably alot closer to that then 5.....im gonna shut up until i get those becuase im wasting the earths prescious oxygen

with all the knowledge all you guys seem to have about cars and DSMs especially why is it so hard for you to beleive that an oil could do something close to that....its all about freekin basics...the oil lubes the source of power, making it run more efficiently....every mechanical bend, connection, gear, commpressor, pulley, and so forth robs the engine of power...start with more power, end with more to the wheels.....with Royal Purple my engine is producing more thereby getting more to the wheels....a significant amount....but i AM going to shutup now and email Royal Purple now for some dyno results..i will stop robbing th earth of its precious oxygen until i get some results back .....let the dyno speak!

your arguing from your mysteriously inherited knowledge against people that know way more thn you ever will. NosLaser is easily one of our most knowledgable memebers. learn your place.

furthermore, your "butt dyno" runs are jsut absurd. you cant tell HP gain from jsut feeling. say you got a turbo from your car. judging by the hp gains on compariison.....you would feel a 200 HP gain. LOL

oh yea, you can never trust a manufacturer for HP gains...

Its very easy to make a dyno lie, I don't beleive any manufactorer claims even with dyno charts, most if not all of them cheat the dyno and way over rate their power. Show us an independent dyno source.

well the likelyhood of me finding independant dyno results tested on teh 420a engine are severly slim....andifi get them on another engine you will obviously then use the
"You cant compare your car with a Nissan Altima, two entierly different cars. This proves nothing, show me a dyno of this intake on a 2G NT."
excuse....
ill see what i can dig up to further my point but until then someone try the damn $hit.....
oh and id appreciate it if you learned YOUR role and take the intake, grease it up REALLLLLL good, turn that summana b!tch sideways, and stick it straight up your candy a$$!!!....
ehem....sorry....
so again what r we arguing here? Royal Purple or the Aem CAI?

okay so i was looking around for like 5 minutes and i couldnt find any comparisons of Royal Purple to anything else without them SELLING the winning product....and THEN I found this....check out where they compared Royal Purple to Mobil 1 on the 94 Corvette
http://www.coximport.com/royalpurple/dyno.html
Now of COARSE "you cant compare" blah blah blah.....
so unless someone wants to pay me 400$ to dyno test my buddies 96 eagle with and without the royal purple i cant see this beign sloved...oh and that "butt dyno" crap is just that, crap.....r u trying to tell me when you were adding mods to your cars you couldnt "feel" the difference? your car "felt" the same after every mod?!?

oh sorry one more note... check out the RPM range where the Poyal Purple starts to kick a$$...hmmmmmmmm...if that doesnt ring any bells reread from the beggining of the thread
i think the problem is that all of you Horse power freaks have SOOO much horse power and spend so much money and time looking for that extra 3-5hp that you forgot what it was like to put ona cold air intake on your NON Turbo and get that huge HP gain.....

Moegil,

You started off good, but then you turned into the typical internet ghetto idiot. I reported your post to the mods. It is now at their discretion on what to do with your account. You WILL NOT speak to the other members on this board in that manner. I like Tallen, so it's worse that you singled him out. If you don't get banned, I suggest you learn your lesson right here and right now.

Regards,

One more thing... Clean up the way you type. Reading your post is like reading something written by a 3 arm'ed monkey with downs syndrome.

Regards,

Yes I tried to stop you about 10 posts ago but you continued trying to prove your point in vain.

WE all know what were talking about. If you felt a 20HP gain good for you.

okay so tallen and 90awd can tell me i am talking "bullshit" and "to learn my place" but a curt reply is unacceptable....
its all good though....you were all blowing steam about how "no oil can give that kinda HP" begging for charts, I give you charts galore adn all you can come back with now is "i reported you"...
stop crying man....i was arguing my point, whats his face tells me to "learn my plac", i retort with a snide comment....boo hoo hoo....cry me a fricken river ....
note 3: everyone stoped arguing with me after posting the dyno results.... thankyou!!
