I cant find silver minden pearl in a spray can anywhere .. does autozone or advance have a part number for it ### everytime I ask they act like Im a ####in retard haha.
Anyways, main question, I want to lower the GS soon since the rear struts are going out anyways, I have looked into the Tokicos but heard the illuminatas damage other suspension parts. So then I decided to look into the other Tokico HPs, and also heard mixed results. So heres what Im lookin for and maybe someone can recommend something along these lines

Budget- up to $400 total for all 4 (struts and springs)

Height- looking for a drop of about 1.25-1.75 no more than 2, also dont want to damage other components because of too much of a drop

Stiffness- its a daily driver not a race car so I just need something that will lower the ride and be a nice replacement that will last for a long time

Would it be in my best interest to just buy new stock struts and some reliable aftermarket lowering springs? Not that I want to but almost every setup I have looked into have had mixed reviews about reliability etc.

is that the color of your car? if so find a place that mixes paint they should be able to put it in a spray can for you

Oreilly's actually sell paint. That is where I got the paint for my car. I use Sherwin Williams paint from there. It is easy to spray and it lays down really smooth. 1 gallon of the stuff you are looking for will probably cost you around $170 without the clear coat, reducer, and hardener.

I'm sure there's auto body places around there that can mix paint for you. They'll all have the codes

Prokits and agx's? Dude you will be VERY hard pressed to find decent suspension set ups with springs AND struts for 400 bucks. Unless you did like, gr2's and prokits or tein s-tech's. But i'd seriously consider raising your budget a bit and doing it right.

Ok, well what do you have in mind.. I see many sets on ebay for close to 300 with somethin around 70 shipping, this is why I figured 400 was enough, with that being said I know how ebay and moving parts dont mix but I only looked at brand stuff like Tokicos, KYBs, Ground Control.. etc

The rest of you, thanks on the paint, I will check out orielys today, I need some for the center taillight and it will cost me 339 if I have them paint it due to cost of actually mixing the paint and all that as a flat fee. The guy actually told me on the phone that something like that isnt worth having them paint and I should just do it myself.

Well, i'd go with a GOOD set of shocks. If you're lowering you want a good smaller shafted shock. Koni is a good one, and i think one of the tokiko's (sp?) has a shortened shaft too. That will run you probably. . . 300-500 even on ebay. Then a good set of prokit's is about 200 on ebay. Or you can step to a coilover sleeve like ground control. It's up to you really. I'd just make sure whatever you do, you're going name brand, and making sure it's the real thing.

Go to like napa get the paint code of the car and then they can mix it and put it into a can. If not they can order it for you

Any napa or carquest can mix you a can of paint. Just a heads up though, a paint code is great but if you want it to match as best you can have them bring out their paint scanner. They'll clean a small spot on your car, and scan for proper color. It should come up with the same code except it will also lighten or darken it to match. Shouldn't cost more than 15 for them to mix a spray can for you, more than likely it will be less. And while your there you can talk with their paint person on how to spray your center piece properly.

well if your going to spend all that money on struts and springs id go with megan racing coilver set up for 800 and call it a day they are 32 way adjustable friend of mine runs em they are awsome. ive got a set of kyb agxs on my car with H&R springs myself and it rides nice but the megans are alot better

im almost positive (bc i been there) the place where I got my paint...
Its on whittier blvd in whittier...Can't remember the name Whittier Paint?
They carry everything there, they are suppliers to shops and thats where I got my house of kolor paint.

Thanks on the paint answers polen, roadrunner, and jenna.. I went to OReilys today and tested a piece of Abs plastic I had from my cut out front bumper and the color was too bright.. not that this came as a shock to me since my car is a 98 (the GS) and has faded ..so yea I will go up to one of those places soon to get a direct color match.

Ok now for the struts and shocks.. Talon, you run Kyb AGXs with H&R springs.. how much did it drop your ride.. and as far as reliability.. how long have they lasted, and have they caused any unneccessary damage to other suspension components that you know of? Thanks in advance

if you lower, you WILL need camber kits. Especially if you go 1.5". AGX's are not built for more than 1" and really aren't built to be lowered at all. You need a shortened shock/strut for that. Otherwise H&R's are good springs. And i'm still weary of the megan coilovers. Seems like too good a deal for the price.
