hey guy's i was just wondering how many of you out there with 2.3l strokers, what mufflers do you guys run that sound really good. not too too deep but alittle raspy. i woudlnt think the 2.0 sound the same as a 2.3? LOL anyway, i was thinking apexi n1. other suggestions will be great. i also want the alittle bit of poping/crackling sound on decel LOL!

I'm running the Espelier cat back on mine, I had it on when I had a 2.0 and it is still on now with the 2.3 and the sound didn't really change that much. I think it is discontinued but it is very similar to an N1.

My Apexi N1 sounds even deeper on my 2.4 than it did on my 2.0. Not raspy at all but I do have a little "popping/crackling" on decel but not much. The apexi N1 exhausts have 2 rather large resonators on them. If you want raspy I would look for and exhaust that doesn't have any resonators.

I use a 3" magnaflow in / out

Sounds like this with my FP3's

That doesnt really seem like a bad idea I would have a steel plate that can be screwed on and off where the spare goes for kinda like a quick release setup. Now you got me thinkin, creative.

Ugh, this is a .090" thick aluminum plate that is removable. It's already been made, and isn't that expensive ($135)

But you have a 1g, your fuel tank is already in the right place, and you have enough room to drop your rear diff by itself. Why bother?
