would i still have boost creep if i had a 2 1/2 in o2 housing and a 2 in downpipe, then went to a 3 in catback? i am asking this because i was wanting to go with a 3 in turbo back, but i found out you get boost creep bad, adn unless i am going with a 20g turbo i dont need a 3 in. but i want that deep rumble sound from the 3. please help me.

i would think you should be ok on that, u may get a little but im not sure how much...my 3" gives me NASTY creep

creep is caused because the exahust gas will take the easiest route out, through the wastegate or not, if its easier to exit through the exhuast system than the wg, you will get boost creep, a porting job/larger flapper on the wg will make it easier for excess gas to be routed through it rather than the 3" exhuast, eliminating most, if not all boost creep

do it right, go a full 3" all the way and do proper porting, you are wanting to go 2.5->2->3? kind of a bottleneck with the 2" downpipe

also a 2.5" will sound pretty good, but maybe not as loud at idle

how loud would a full 2 1/2 be with a gutted cat? also i was comtemplating about just hackign the exhaust after the cat and just gut the cat and leave the rear section off.....is this a good idea or not, if not...why

i was going to get a 3" inch turbo back. Now, I am not understanding....what would I need to get to elimnate the boost creep? Basically this is what I'm looking at...this applies to this thread so here we go.

Its a full 3" turbo back set-up, 3" downpipe, on the stock o2 housing. Now, would i need to get a better o2 housing? Or what? What would I have to do to eliminate boost creep on the stock turbo and wastegate with that set-up?
