Ok well lets talk long rod 2.4 In all reality, Im trying to figure out the nastiest street engine possible.

Already got 2 birds killed in that sentence. 35r which is going in for compressor upgrade as soon as its maxxed out and E85. You think im safe with 11:1? I was thinking no higher than 10:1 but if you could chime in on that one with reasoning I would jump all over it!

I'm actually gonna have to say that on just E85 the 10:1 is probably a better choice for a street car. E98 or race car only and I'd go higher. I meant to write 10:1-11:1 in my last post but I got lazy.

In all honesty, the 2.0 LR is sounding like a pretty BA decision. Its not something that has to rev to the moon and back to make power. I already have a 98 7 bolt block ready to go, Just cant make up my mind fully. Open for opinions at this point.

IMO, I'd go higher then 10:1 on E85, maybe 11:1 but no higher then 12:1. But if you'll be switching between Pump and E85, I'd stick to 10:1.

I bought a 6 bolt longrod from slowboy back in january. Paid right around 3300 built with oem oil pumps and no core due. Got 300 of that back after I sent in my core. After a ton of research I really wanted a longrod. I got 8.5:1 pistons and Manley I-beam rods. I also sent my 7 bolt head to Curt Brown and had him build it for me. I can't wait to run this car with my Fp3065. Im still looking for a tranny and several other parts. Everything I've read seems to be that this long rod setup will be really awesome. I'll post a build thread or blog when I get closer to finishing this car. Hoping to hit 600+ to the wheels.

From what I've read these LR motors seem to be a better choice for a land speed car rather than a street/strip car.
