Hey I just recently started logging with my new palm with the tunerstein software. My following mods are, B16g at 20psi, walbro 255, 550 injectors, 2 3/4 intake, 2.5 inch downpipe/exhaust, I used the safc setting thats on rre site according to my mods. Also if it helps my car is an automatic and my idle air control is probably bad. Also I don't know how to make it log smaller increment than those on the bottom logs. So any help in analizing my log would be greatly appreciated, thanks. :thumb:

Welcome to the wonderful world of logging. First things first. Yes, you want the best possible sample rate, so that the pockelogger can capture the data as fast as it can. One the main menu (datalog, view, diagnois), bring up the menus at the top (should be the bottom left button on the touchpad, under home), and there is something called byte timing. Reading pocketlogger's website about it might explain it better than I can. Basically you wan the lowest delays settings as possible, without getting errors (error count) in the process. You wan to decrease the bottom delay first until you start getting errors, then increas it a little more. Then do the same for the top delay. For example, for my 99gst, the top number is 1400, and my bottom number is "0". This gets me about 18 samples per second. I know on 97 cars, I can only get about 10-11 samples per second.

As far as logs, you only want to log the important stuff, don't bother wasting time logging unimportant info. For wide open runs, you'll want to log rpm, timing, o2 bank 1, and maybe tps, I would recommend tps, others might not. Then you'll want to be in 3rd gear (not sure about the auto), and then floor it all the way through 3rd, so from about 55-100mph. That's a good log. The log you posted can't really be used because 1st gear goes by so fast, and you never really hit 100% throttle, because us gst's will easily break loose in 1st.

Good luck.

alright thanks for the info, I'll try to log a 3rd gear run later......
