I just got back from my first time taking my car to a drag strip. I didnt do as good as I wanted but I did ok I think. I did a 13.85 @ 97.97 with a 1.88 0-60' on pump 93 @ 22psi. Im still on my smic :notgood: until I get my 90* elbows in the mail so I can finish my fmic install. I also had no tune, my fuel map was zeroed out so I need to borrow a wideband or something to get a rough tune. Next time I go to the track should be on the 7/8th of oct and I hope to get a 12.9 although I may need a set of cams for that. Ill post up the timeslip when I find a scanner on campus somewhere.

Im on a Evo III 16g, The max knock I saw was 2.5* of retard with dsmlink and that was just before I launched with anti-lag on. Can too much fuel cause knock? I can post up the log if anyone is interested. :edit: I never hit 5th at the drag strip but I do knock like crazy in 5th gear.

I thought so, I was expecting +100 mph traps and low 13/ high 12. My launch is good but the car just feels like it looses steam when it gets up there. Ill crop the long and post it if you wouldnt mind taking a look at it.

Heat soak is a MOFO. My friend whose car runs extremely well I might add, went slower at the track when we went from the 14b to Evo III 16g. He still has a scar from the intercooler burning his hand so bad. Now he has a FMIC and is probably one of the top 10 Evo III's in the country. The side mount it holding you back. He was stuck in the 90's mpn wise. His 1/8th mile was almost two seconds faster but the car just died because of heat soak.

Thats good to know, I should have my fmic installed by the end of this week and theres another track day on the 7 and 8th Ill probably go to just to see how much it helps. All of my 4 runs were all limited to 97.xx mph so I do believe that the car does just die from heatsoak or something.

yeah something definitely isnt right. i have an evo 16g and my first time at the track i was running around 13lbs of boost on pump gas and my trap speeds were in the 100s and thats with no fuel mods at all and on the stock sidemount. but u have some good 60's mine were around 2.5 - 2.7. after i get sum fuel mods i wanna up my boost and see if i can get into the 12s.
