i have some stock fog lights on my talon well i think they are stock they have a little transformers looking symbol on them..and they wont come on what should i check???.weres the switch to turn them on:confused:

If they are OEM, they'll have a push button switch on the left side of the instrument cluster. I removed mine, but I recall that it's the middle button. The top one is the headlight pop-up (if your year is popup), bottom is the dash light dimmer.

Also be advised they should only come on with your headlights in low beam and not when you have your high beam on, unless someone has hacked the circuit to allow them on permanently.

Also the push button switch has a relay inside that might be broken. Try pushing the button and holding it and have one else look at the front to see if they come on when your head lights are on. If they do, then your relay might be broken and you can easily replace it .

Check the fuse on the passenger side box under the hood. it should be a 10A fuse. If its blown and you replace it, then blows again might be short in the wiring. (Had that problem with mine).
Good Luck

LOL yea i was kinda surprised when i saw the little symbol but i read somewere that those were aftermarket and only came on the 1gb.i pushed the button and nothin happens im go out there tommorow and make sure that theres even a light bulb in them LOL.i doubt it cause theres like a plug behind it that is just dangling.

ill check that to thanks.

mine is a 15A fuse... and I'm pretty sure the fuse cover says 15A.

Also, there is a relay under the hood for the fogs.

Lastly, like someone mentioned before, the switch itself can be broken. The mechanism which holds the switch in the 'on' position breaks. BUT it should still work if you just hold the button.

yea the swith wont stayed pushed down i just tried to play with it..i might just run it to a new switch

I had mine go bad. I took the thing apart by the directions of VFAQ, but eventually wanted rid of them and did away with the switch. If you can't get a hold of another switch, follow the link to VFAQ and it'll help you out with your broken one.

1G Foglight Switch

It's a little fiddly but it can be done.
