1G 1ga wing removal

Ok So I am in the process of sanding down my car for paint and ran into trouble taking off the driver side rear quarter piece of the wing. I have the other 4 off already and this one is lose I cant get it off due to the antenna base. I have tried twisting the top while holding the bottom, twisting the bottom while holding the top, trying to hit it through with a hammer and it still wont move. I dont care about damaging the base its not going back in I just want the damn thing out.

Is that the antenna base? They are bolted inside the drivers rear quarter panel and once loose pull down and out.
