Just thought I'd post this up. I tinted the front and corner lenses on my Eclipse this morning. I was going to use the VHT Nightshades, but I was afraid it might be too dark. Instead I went with Model Master Transparent Black Window Tint. This stuff is intended for use with model and R/C vehicles, but it works really well on car lenses too. I bought four 3oz cans from http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/tes/tes2949.htm
I wasn't sure how much it would take to get the look I wanted. I was able to do the whole front (with the exception of the center lense) with one can with a little to spare. Hopefully it will hold up to the weather, if not I can always pull the lenses apart and paint from the inside like the can says to do on model windows.
Anyway, here's a pic.
BTW, the car will be black once summer gets here.
