A lip is just that... a lip; the flat piece attached to the bottom of the bumper and protrudes outward.

Exactly. Here is a pic of an unfinished 1gb lip that shows it a little more clearly:

Okay okay I got it now. Sorry for the slowness. Your pic is of a new bumper, WITH the lip. I am pretty sure the talon and eclipse don't have the same lower bumper measurements.

I will pay shipping if you want me to test fit it. If it fits, Ill buy it. IF not Ill sent pics and send it back to you. Let me know....

That could definitely be arranged if you would meet us in Rochester. If there are any Rochester/Buffalo 1g Eclipses that would like to be a guinea pig let me know and we can work something out.

I'd love to, unfortunately Rochester is about a 2-3 hour drive and my Eclipse is in storage for the winter :(
There's a pretty big Rochester DSM club though. On the off chance you don't find anybody to test fit by March/April let me know and we can try to arrange something.

whats the word on these? any pics available of the lip bolted onto a whole car?

No pics on a car yet. We ordered a bracket from a Chrysler dealership, but it turned out to be the exact same thing we got from Mitsu. The whole 1ga bumper thing is a pain in the ass. So far we have gathered that FWD turbo Talons, AWD turbo Talons, and AWD turbo Eclipses have a 'big' bumper. Everything else has a 'small' bumper.

We are going to take the one we drilled and installed on the black bumper in the pics above and try it on another 1ga Talon. If the holes line up, we are going to drill the rest based on that lip. If they dont, Im not sure what we are going to do. It might have to come down to sending them un-drilled and leaving it to the buyer to do it, but that is definitely a last resort.

Production is done, the lips are cut already. Its just down to the drilling situation. Once we sort that done we will be ready to start sending them out.

PMs sent to those who requested one.

Finally got some good 1ga lip install pics. The sides are drooping a very small amount because they are attached with hair clips rather than bolts OMG.

IMO, the sides need to be tapered in towards the bumper, this would help it blend in more i think, it deff sticks out the way it is

As I mentioned, the sides of the lip are not secured to the bumper properly which causes them to droop down a bit. This gives the impression that the lip sticks out further on the sides than it actually does.

I dont have any other pics without shadows. I think the front profile of the lip is pretty easy to see. The sides are a bit hard ot make out, but I can tell you that the lip goes back to exactly where the bumper ends.

I can second that. My car was the origional 1ga model for this lip but the car is in 10000 pieces at the moment so pics were needed on a car that was together. It doesnt droop or stick out further at all when the sides are bolted up. Without them bolted up, it gives a faulse illusion. Trust me, this 1ga lip is SICK!

Kids across the land will soon be asking "why did the racoon or opossum cross the road?"

The lives of night critters just got harder. ;)
