ok guys i decided to go now with an AWD dsm,i was thinking alot bout it but already made a decision to go with awd. now i have a 1990 eclipse gs (t) with all good stuff as you can see in my profile.one of my friends are selling 1996 GSX shell for 600 bucks.i dunno is it worth that money or not,it has a complete interior no parts are missing,3 full exhaust, there is no front headlights, tranny, transfer case, and one shock is in bad shape (front driver side) so i think 600$ is worth right?
another thing is does anybody knows a very good source i mean any posts where can i find every small detail about an 1990 gs (t) engine swap to 1996 gsx and everything what do i need to make the gsx drivable thanks for any input

If the interior is in good shape and the body's straight, it's definately worth the money. I'm in the process of finishing up a '90 6-bolt swap into my '95. You can check out my progress here and here. I found pretty much all the info I needed from the Magnus Motorsports how-to page. There's good info on the RRE how-to page, too. You can also join the Yahoo group. Hope that helps.

my friend bought the shell for a 1000$ and he didnt thought that it gonna be that pita to make the gsx drivable before he was driving RSX and Maxima so he dont know sh#t bout dsm.he told me that the guy where he bought a gsx from told him that there was a 1990 Talons engine before,so if its true its not gonna be that hard to do a swap right ?! and does the AWD tranny directly bolts up to my 6 bolt engine??

No, the swaps not that hard.
Yes, the 6 bolt block will bolt up to your awd tranny.

$600? You don't even realize how good of a steal that is. If you don't want it. I'll take it in a heartbeat.

If you have any questions about the swap (I've done it), pm me and I'll be happy to help you out. As long as it's not overboard and hasn't been answered clearly in the article I posted.

Did you check out all the links in my first post? Read through those thoroughly and pretty much all the information you will need is there. There's even a list of what parts to use from what years. The only thing you'll have to do is notch the driver side motor mount around the water pump as shown on the Magnus page I linked above. The transmission will bolt right up. You'll want to get a 2G awd transmission.

hold on does the 7 bolt tranny is the same as a 6 bolt???

Bolt patterns are the same, but the 2G has three of the motor mounts on the transmission.
