I had a 2g and it looks so nice but it was non turbo and so slow, Now i have a 1g gsx and i love it i wish i had the 2g body tho.

Yeah, i wish the 1G had kits, you have to buy soo much to turbcharge these things. The good thing is teh engnine mounst are the same for 1G na and nt witch is not the case on the 2G...but it is too bad there isnt near the aftermarket for 1Gs as it is for 2Gs.

i look at it like this, even if a 1g is faster, a 2g looks better and for how much faster a 1g might be (not a whole lot) then dosent that make a 2g better overall??

Ok i have to put my .02. I have never been beaten by a 2g nt...raced prob about 6 if i had to guess. And as for looking better....thats a matter of opinion, I must say i prefer the 1G body over the 2G.

And the 1Gs look better to me. I'll take aggressive over sleek any day.

I'm a 1G guy so I like the 4G63 powerplant over the 420a, even though I love the look of the 2Gs. I still enjoy the 1G's look, especially the fact that not a lot of people in my area drive one.

Anyway, 1Gs do suffer from crankwalk. April of 92-94 had the 7bolt flywheel. Even the 6bolts are know to walk every now and then. ANY car can walk basically. A 420a can walk but it has to do with putting rediculous amounts of power through it, which makes it walk. And we all know it's hard to put over 200HP to the crank on a 420a without a turbo.

I raced a 2g the other night and left him at my rear bumper.....all 3 times. (both of us with manual trannies) I dont think he had any mods (couldnt really tell, since he was behind me...hehe) Im running a short ram with k&n and an obx muffler with 2.5" exhaust.

oh, and just out of curiosity...people talk about crankwalk like a plague, and not trying to flame anyone or anything, but how many of you 1g owners out there have experienced crankwalk????

I have the lightest model of any 2g n/t and I weigh 140 lbs. I have never been beat by any other STOCK n/t 2g's but I have been beat by a few 1g's. So I guess I'll have to go with what most other people are saying, 1g's might be a little quicker but 2g's just look so much better.

We have 2gNT's that have run better than 15.5's in the 1/4.

I still haven't seen any 1gNT's do that well.

yes our 2gs are faster than your 1gs. its a proven fact that we got 5 more hp stock. the 1gs are lighter so u factor in your weight to hp ratio and your friends weight to hp ratio and u will figure out y u were side by side.
