1g Valve cover fit on a 2g?

Does anyone know if the 1g valve cover fit on a 2g engine. I know it bolts right on but the difference im seeing is on the 1g valve cover there is only 1 port running out the side (for oil i guess) were on the 2g valve cover there are 2 ports (one on the side and the top). Is the top one not really needed?

The 1g 2.0 both turbo and non use the same valve cover as the turbo 2g all 3 cars use the identical valve covers with 2 ports
