Anyone want to try and fit this lip to a 1G? might just work with some molding. Would probably look good.

Acutally saw another OEM Subaru add on black ABS lip for late 90s Legacy GT that might work as well. Looking for pics on the net right now to post... hard to see but I think this ABS lip might work.

As you can see, it's slim, lessen the chance of ground clearance issues on lowered cars. Might look pretty good.

You have a 1g, you should try it.

I'm working in SF. My car is in storage 12 hours away. Thanks for stating the obvious. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

By the way, 1G = 89 through 94 DSMs. Your 96 is a 2G.

My crystal ball is being repaired right now and Im unable to magically know what your car situation is at the moment. Shame on me.

Thanks for the update. I put that info to good use when I designed 1g and 2g lips.

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!

here's an idea... you buy it for me, and i'll try it.

overall though, not a bad looking piece on that WRX. not sure how it'd go with a DSM though. might look alright. but i'd rather not spend $300 to "test" the looks of it. bummer.

Trim a piece of flat sheet plastic. Ooh... Ahh. Man I bet that took some engineering. Let me give you a gold medal. You feel better about yourself now?

The point of the post was to share an idea I had after seeing the OE Legacy piece. Just eyeballing the dimensions, it will probably work and might even bolt right on with some cutting to adjust for the width... assuming that piece is seperate from the bumper skin... like what it takes to fit the Mazda JDM Protege lip. After looking at the online Subaru parts catalogs, it may be a part of the bumper skin or is sold only with the full bumper skin.

The WRX lip was just something I happened to come across while searching for OE Subaru lips online. It may work with lots of molding work, and will probably look OK.

Umm yeah, I'd try it on my car if I had easy access to the car. Wouldn't even have to think about it, much less ask you, specifically, about it since you don't even have a 1G and can't read the "1G" in the title.

Thanks for your 2 pennies. Don't trip on that crystal ball on the way out.

The lip could possibly fit without major molding or body work. But eye balling it you can't really tell. Someone would have to get upclose and take measure ments. But IMO the lip wouldn't flow with the 1g's. But that's just my 2 cents.

Also, no need to get upset because a 2g owner replied to your thread with some, not so helpful things to say. Just because the thread is directed towards 1g's does not mean that only 1g's can reply.

Sorry I got off topic.
