1g tranny on 95 t case

Hi. Im new to the DSM game and was hoping i could get some advice from the vets. I have a 95 gsx with no tranny but it does have the t case. I was wondering if a 1g tranny would still work with the 95 model, Ive heard it does work with 95-96 but not with 97-99. someone shed some light on my issue here.

First off: 1G/2G Transmission/Driveline compatibility

Secondly, and to be blunt, you have more to consider than whether the transmission, transfer case, and rear end will all work together, specifically in regards to engine mounts. Go ahead and give these a read.
1G Transmission in a 2G
