From all I've read on here and looked at and such it doesn't seem like they are interchangeable. Both are FWD Turbo's, mines a 95 the tranny's out of a 94 manual. And it's free. a FREE transmission, so if I can use it I want to :) But will it work? And if not, how much work am I looking at to make it work?

7 bolt motor to 6 bolt torque converter is going to be messy. I had seen a 6 bolt motor to 7 bolt conversion kit IPT makes but not the other way around.

Also the TCU will need to change.

And you just lost the lock up in the 2G trans. Good for gas mileage and if you want to lock it up for better converter efficiency at the track.

I would not do it even if it was for free and someone else paid to do the install correctly. Stick with what you got and sell the free trans online. :sneaky:
