ok i just lost 3rd and 4th gear on my 2g tranny so im going to send it out and and get it rebuilt by shep or tre havent decided yet anyways i have a 1g tranny and axels and i was wondering if the axels would fit or if the passenger side axel is to small thanks

Im not sure about axles because I have never researched it. As for thr tranny, it will not work in the 2g because there will be no roll stop mounts on the tranny or engine. It will take more fab work that it is worth to get a 1g tranny in a 2g.
 
Agreed, the 1G deosnt accommodate 3 out of 4 mounts. Now if you were putting a 2G in a 1G.................................the axle clearance should be the same. I just put a 2G 5 speed into a 1G setup on my Hyundai and the axles fit, no issues. good luck.
