I went to change my tps and the one that is on the car doesnt match the one that i bought from autozone. The one on the car has a wire and harness comming from the sensor, while the one i bought from the store has 3 male prongs on the side where you would plug a harness into. I have a 1g Talon, but im thinking the previous owner might have put 2g engine in? Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

TPS with wires comming out of it are from a 1990 - ( not 2g )
is your car a 90?
91-94 use a plug with 3 - connections
2g uses the same plug with 4

Ahhhh, ok, I think I get it. They just used that throttle postion sensor for one year (90)?
So I'm guessin the guy at Autozone goofed up and gave me one for a 91+. I have a 90 Talon.
Does it matter if the tps is for a talon or eclipse? The only thing that should matter is that it's for a 90 model right? Thanks for ya'lls help, much appreciated!
