1g stock boost

i have a 91 eagle talon tsi awd mods are sm16g yellow top 510cc jdm 4g63 swap...my question is it only boost 10psi with free mods that normal...our should i be getting more?

you can push 12 but you shouldn't mess with anything untill you get some things to monitor you car
i.e. boost controller and gauges
you should get a bigger fuel pump next, a walbro 255 and you'll be set to start boosting a decent amount more

so then 10psi is normal with the free mods?my friends 14b with free mods feels way faster?

You need to get some sort of knock detection, like DSMLink

you don't need dsm link anytime soon
on a stock 14b you can run about 14lbs absolute max
but thats pushing it
you should get supporting mods before you start to push your car
