i replaced my wheel in my 2g and the srs light came on. then i took out the pas. airbag which also makes the light com one. the easiest fix is to take out the srs light bulb in the gauge clusterspeed127 said:when you did this did your SRS light come on or is there some way to turn it off... that was always my reason for no doing it. The main thing that takes away from swapping wheels on a 2G is that the column housing is very large, because it's usually hiding behing that huge facebomb pillowcase. However, the 1G and 2G wheels are fully-interchangable insofar as the splines on the hub are concerned. The 1G wheel is about 3/4" smaller-diameter than the 2G. When using an aftermarket wheel, some catalogs omit the 2G completely because they don't want to deal with the suggestion of taking that mortar out of a driver's face. The 1G aftermarket hub fits perfectly.
(Apologies for the cheezy carbon-fiber stickers)
