I have tried, but have had no luck. The question is,"How do I remove my speedometer cable?" I have an 91 AWD 5spd. I got that little bolt off of it. That plastic cap is stubborn. Do I just pull on it, or do I have to take it out by twisting. One guys on another thread said not to take the nut off, but to leave it on and pull with the plastic piece off. ARGGGH!:talon:

Solution
The speedometer cable screws off at the transmission. If the cable stays in the tranny and the cap is off then just pull it off with some pliers.

:talon:Does the cap HAVE to come off with the cable or since I've got the bolt off can I just pull it out, cap and all?

:talon:Since this thread I have taken my Talon to a fellow DSMer's house here in Greenville. GSXrestomod. His name is Rob. He helped me out alot. It just took elbow grease.
