I recently bought a 92 n/t Eclipse for a daily driver. It was running for about 2 months while my 6bolt 2g sleeps. Last night I was driving and noticed it would cut off and the CEL then oil light would flash then it would die then have to sit for 2 minutes powered down and then its fine for about another half mile.

Right before it shuts down I hear a click type sound from the dash, idk if its a relay or something but I'm real confused. Maybe fuel pump. Also when I let the car sit on radio mode (ACC) I hear a crazy clicking from the throttle body area.

my pulled the Ecu and it had a good bit of corrosion on it looked like a resistor or capacitor was leakin... i was told this is common... can anyone relate?

It is common. Every 1G ECU either has leaking caps or will unless they are replaced. The symptoms you listed are classic. The ECU is crashing and restarting. The one click is from the MPI relay when the ECU dies and the throttle body is the ISC homing when the ECU boots.
