1G pop up lights malfunction

hi guys
have a problem with my driver side pop up light when i turn on the lights it only comes up half way and when i switch off it stays in that position and i have to turn it back by hand passenger side works fine
wat is going on?
checked all the fuses they seem oke,any suggestions?

could be really rusted in the joints. i took mine out b/c it froze completely after doing what yours did. and i sprayed wd40 in the joints and held the light. then i hit the arm that the motor attaches to with a rubber mallet. it finally broke free and goes up better than i ever remember it doing.

you were right tried it this weekend , took of the arm ,sprayed it with wd40 moved it up and down by hand .
now it works fine ,thanks for the advice
