1G OEM Rod Orientation

I searched for this info, but didn't find a definitive answer on it. What way do the 6-bolt OEM rods go in the block, in a turbo 4G63? What markings should face to the exhaust side of the motor?

As it says in the shop manual, "Take note of rod location during disassembly".
The tang notch goes on the exhaust side. Next post: "Are you sure?" No, I just shit this out to make more room for the flying monkeys.

Thanks Defiant. Believe me, if I was the one who disassembled the engine, I would have taken note of that. I bought someone else's disassembled half-started project, and so I may have a few more questions as this progresses.
