2G 1g o2 sensor in 2g

I have a good used o2 sensor from my friend's 1g doner car. I have a 2g and my o2 sensor is going out. If there any way that I can make it work or should I just buy a 2g sensor

The plugs are different. Just buy a new 2g sensor.

I wired the 1g sensor into a 2g plug and it is working fine on my 96 spyder.
