I ordered an o2 dump from punishment racing and it doesnt fit my 1g. I cant even get it near fit because the damned dumptube hits the crossmember, making it impossible to fit. I cut it, but then i figured, its gonna blow carbon all over my radiator and intercooler pipes, so now im stuck with a ruined o2. No big deal, ill eventually get it re-welded but my question is..How does a 1g fit a dump, even if it isnt a punishment racing one, on their car? even the tubular ones with a bend that wraps around the exhaust housing part dont seem to fit my car because the oil filter being in the way. Can i see some pics of setups on a 1g. Maybe its a 1990 thing..but i can not see how an off the shelf o2 dump will fit my car.

im guessing its a 1990 thing.. because it was physically impossibly, the dump tube was hitting the cross member before the housing was even in place.

My buddy, frontwheeler on this site, bought a o2 dump from Punishment Racing and put it on his '90 FWD and it fit fine. Now he has it on his 91 TSI AWD and it fits on there. I don't know why it would fit all years of 1G besides a '90?

wtf, is it just a 1g awd 1990 thing!!!?? it made no sense, because even after looking at the bent ones, there no way its gonna fit. i gotta see a pic of one on a 90 awd and i already wasted a good 30 mins lookin on here.

Post up a pic of your engine bay with a close up of where the O2 housing is, I just can't understand how the '90 would be any different than the rest of the 1g's(crossmember location and locations of other parts).
