Friend has stock 1g with just a wideband and has stock ecu, stock injectors and stock fuel pump. When he goes out to warm up his car like 5 mins till temp is good and even when driving it for a little the a/f ratio is like 16.7-17.0 and you can hear it popping. I was wondering what would cause this bad fuel filter? I don't think it block that much flow, because once we start driving and after a few minutes of driving perfect idle at 14/7 a/f. Maybe a bigger fuel pump might help?

No it's a steady 16.0-17.0 on warmups but after running it for a little it goes to normal.
