ok im doin a 90eclipse motor swap into a 96 eclipse swap. the motor mounts dont line up. seeking advice. also do the wiring harness line up or should i pull the wiring harness from the other car. im new to the dsm so all help iz greatly appreciated......thanx:thumb:

A 2g n/t has a chrysler engine, The motor mounts and wiring harnesses are completely different, doing a 420a to 4g63 engine swap would be extremly hard and expensive.

Assuming your profile is correct, your NT has a 420a motor in it and you are trying to drop in a 4G63. This is not only a difficult task to perform (because of the motor mounts not lining up, etc.) It would not be a cost effective solution. If you are adamant about it, check out 2gnt.com for more information or search around the forum a bit more.

Hey there, Welcome to the forums! :thumb: You say the motor mounts don't line up? You are using the 2.0L DOHC engine right? The 1.8L SOHC would be much different.

As well, the search function on this forum is amazing:) I found these 2 sites which will most likely be of much help to you! PS. In case you do not know 6bolt refers to 1G engines, 7bolt refers to 2G engines(94.5((i believe)) and up)

6Bolt Swap

1G Swap

EDIT: The 2 guys above got their .02 and info in before I finished...their info would be correct.....but those 2 links still provide answers to putting a 1g engine into a 2g :)

...he's running a 420a. Those links refer to putting a 6bolt turbo engine into a 2g turbo car.

If you're serious about this and actually get somewhere. Do the entire community a favor and document your swap. Many 2g nt guys have thought about it and I have yet to see someone successful at it. If you get the ball rolling and need some help, I'm in bridgewater and can always swing by to help.
