Are 1990 stock intercoolers the same as 91-94 stock intercoolers?

They are the same except for the lower inlet pipe. Its longer on the 90's.

I'll be the jerk here. No it will not. The 90 has the shorter inlet pipe and the wider coolant resevoir. If you try to put the 91-94 intercooler on a 90 without first swapping to the 91-94 coolant resevoir you will quickly see what I am talking about. Basically two things trying to occupy the same space. I made this mistake AFTER I cleaned and polished my 91-94 intercooler with hopes of putting in on my 90. Hope I helped.

no because i have a 90s ic on my 93 with no probs, i did have 2 raise the coolant bottle up a little and zip tied the bottle ontosomething but it will work with little problems.

You missed the part where I explained that the problem occurs with the 91-94 intercooler on a 90. With the 90 intercooler on a 91-94 you should have more than enough clearance.
