Resolved 1g header on a 2g 420a?

i’ve been looking for a new header because mine is cracked and all the ones i find on ebay are sold out, all of them except the DC Sport 4-2-1, and i’m not looking to spend upwards of 200 on one, wondering if any other headers from different cars can bolt up to the 420a on a 2g or mainly if a 1g can.

The 1g header will work, but the downpipe will not. You'll probably have to get a downpipe custom made for your application in order to run a 1g header.

I feel sorry for you man. I got a good header and downpipe for $150 on Ebay. But you can't do that anymore.

yeah it already has an ebay header on it but it’s cracked and the flex pipe has an insane leak in it right now, might save for the DC Sport honestly, i wanna go 4-2-1, hopefully things don’t go insanely scarce for the 420a but it’s starting to lean that way

1g cars all have mitsubishi engines. the flange is different than the 420a flange so no 1g header will bolt up.

Also according to their website, DC no longer makes headers for the 420a. Maybe you can find a trusted distributor that still has them in stock or an authentic used one. I have a feeling that alot of the ones on ebay are knock offs. It would suck to pay out the ass for a knock off.

You are correct here. There are N/T 1g's, but they have an N/A 4g63, not a 420a. Sorry for the false info about the header, but I really do remember reading about a 1g w/420a somewhere.
