1g head on 2 g

Before anyone say anything i did search and found this RRE's Eclipse 2g Turbo to 1g Head Swap Tips.
but my question is what do you do about the size different of the arps, 11mm/12mm. Can you use the 7-bolt ones or do you need to drill and tap the block.

What he said ^. Use the 7-bolts. I know. I'm putting a 6-bolt head on a 7-bolt 4G64 bottom.

Is the head from a 6 bolt or 7 bolt? If you use a 1G 7 bolt head you need the 11mm studs. If you use a 6 bolt head, you will have to bore and tap the block's stud holes out to 12mm. The difference is not 1G/2G it's 6 bolt/7 bolt.

Don't use 11mm studs on a 6 bolt head, the headgasket will never hold the seal because the head will not be secure.

I have a 6-bolt head but I was looking at a 1g 7-bolt N/T that I might put on after changing the cams with my 2gs.
