I'm planning on doing a 1g fwd fuel pump rewire. I also want to put a kill switch on this fuel pump wire. By putting a kill switch in the fuel pump wire, will that affect the voltage? Will it defeat the purpose of the whole fuel pump rewire mod???

what kinda switch should i use, anyone out there done this???

A simple high amperage toggle switch will do the trick. All you would need to do is put it in line with the power feed to the fuel pump.

I have personally only done this on race only cars, and it works fine.

If your switch is mounted in an easily bumped area; insight or not. You may do well to use a covered toggle. Sort of like the ones used to engage fire control of missiles in a jet fighter. I don't think loss of fuel flow during a full throttle run would be a good thing.

Maybe you have kids that like to fiddle with things; you may find a covered switch less tempting for them to play with... or not!

This leads me to suggest the clutch switch. Do to its OEM functionality, theres less a chance of any adverse affects to engaging it under normal driving conditions.
