1g foglights need some help

I have a 90 gsx that I'm guessing came with factory foglights, even though they werent there when i bought the car, I'm assuming this because i have the switch on the dash and the harnesses. I got some oem fogs and hooked em up but when you hit the switch nothing..Both the fuse and the relay are intact and working fine, the switch is plugged into the harness on the dash and they have brand new silverstar bulbs. So why woulnt these be working? If you feed the lights power from another source (run a wire to one of the lights right off of the battery) they will both come on. So the wiring between the lights is there. Can anyone think of anything im missing? What could be wrong?

Just buy your own switch for aftermarket fogs.

Maybe the switch is faulty, or the wiring is faulty, one of the two, you pretty much covered everything else it seems.

Forgot to mention sometimes the switches go bad too.

Yeah i could do that, i already have the switch and relay ready to go, that was just plan B i kinda wanted to retain the stock switch, Ive also replaced, that i think i forgot to mention that in my last post i guess ill just use an aftermaret i guess it will be better to turn them on and off at will anyways without the headlights. So thanks for the responses.
