I currently have a 2nd gen SAFC & i guess its alright, though it feels like im trying to run a marithon with both legs tied together

I'm kind of looking at HalTech or thinking about doing a DSMLink conversion..

Does anyone have any Haltech experience?

No experience with haltech, but i've used the aem and dsmlink, both are badass... dsmlink is definitely the best without going standalone... and the aem is badass cause its plug and play

I've heard AEM has a pretty steep learningcurve, and DSMLINK is pretty labor intensive to adapt to 1g's

I've read a lot of info from Hal, he knows his shit, & i'd asume that HalTech would be pretty impressive as well

haltech so i've heard is a PAIN in the ASS to install... but its a really good system once you get it all up and working.... To get dsmlink to work, im sure you'd just have to rewire your wiring harness to fit a 2g ecu....If you have the money i'd go with AEM or the Haltech, but if you wanna save a lil money go with the dsmlink

How bad is the parts/labor to adapt DSMlink to a 1g?

If it would cost less than buying a SAFC/palmpilot then I'd do it since I already have a laptop to work with DSMlink.

it wont cost less than an SAFC, it will cost far more

& its about 4-6 hours of rewireing (if your comfortable with it)

definatly not a task for the uncomfortable
