New richmond,
did someone try it? it is a good to put that on 4g63 2.3l stroker with Evo 16G Turbo. Thank you

I have the Dejon street FMIC with a 50 trim turbo. It's marginal with a 50 trim, perhaps 18 PSI. I think it would be great with a 16G and you do NOT have to remove the bumper to install it. It's a tough fit in some places but i got it on without removing the bumper. All brackets and holes lined up nicely. I wish there was a way to get a big FMIC on one of these but there is not.
I already had his uper IC GM MAF pipe which was $200. so that and not hacking the bumper made the way to go.Mark

Have you seen the slowboy core on a 1g its massive!!! And it fits.

Fits without cutting the bumper? I'll check it out! Mark

Oh you want one that you wont have to cut the bumper. Most kits your going to have to cut the bumper just cause its going to be so large.

Right! The originator of this post was asking about the street dejon which fits without hacking the bumper or removing it either! I got one and it's OK for my 50 trim but not up to 20+, more like 18 with a good tune. It would be a great IC for a 16G. Mark

will this fit a at? is it really that much bigger than the stocker? looks tiny! :talon:

IMO, it is a waste if you put such a small turbo/fmic on a built stroker 2.3 . What is your goal for the car may I ask? :)

I have the DT race version and it works Great!

This setup is for rally car. i am looking for fast spool up turbo. I am looking for 320hp and lot of torque on low end rpm. Bigger turbo is lagging to much for rallying.

you dont have to take off the front bumper? that would be nice. Although the dejon street fmic @ 15.5x7x3" is only 325.5 cu. in. thier Big smic @ 9.5x9x4" is 342 cu.in. I have a Alamo big smic 2.25" in/out and just wonder if the dejon street fmic is worth the $ or effort? My alamo seems like its 6 or 7 inches thick, I had to cut out the fender liner and make a screen panel that sticks out about an inch to fit it.

Yeah, I got it in without removing the front bumper even dejon says you have to. I like the frontal area being increased rather than the thicker sidemount. would honestly recommend it only for turbo's up to a big 16G. My 50 trim is struggling though I have much more tuning to do. Mark

Anyone else using the Dejon Street FMIC? It looks like a decent piece and it is the only FMIC I can find that doesn't require major cutting or removal of the stock fan. Would it be enough cooling for an EVO16g @ 20psi?

I never had a problem with my EVO on the stock sidemount with 16-18 psi. I did hit 22 with race. Goodness the dejon would be great with the EVO and 20 psi. I have toyed with selling the street dejon due to the 50 trm and then.........tackling the bigger MIC somehow. My car is such a nice rust free car and the bumper in like new conition. I do have a parts car that might have a useable bumper worth using and cutting. I will have to look. These cars were not designed for a FMIC, too bad!! mark

Great, sell me your Dejon Street and upgrade to something bigger ;)

Exactly. For your setup and goals with the vehicle, an upgraded SMIC would be the best choice performance-wise.

FMIC will impress the locals though. You could get one of these:

Just tell people it's real and it'll be out little secret.

.

Thanks for the advice. I don't want the Supra SMIC due to the plastic end-tanks (don't ask) and I was going to use a larger SMIC but they are very close in price to the Dejon Street FMIC. *If* I upgrade to something larger than the EVO16g I will probably need the FMIC. So, do you guys still think the larger SMIC is the way to go vs. a small FMIC?

Well if you plan to upgrade sometime down the road to a bigger turbo, I would just do it all the first time and get a fmic. I personally use the Slow Boy Racing 1G fmic 1G kit for my car and the inner metal bumper needed to hacked to all hell. All that is left is basically the top portion so I still have a place to bolt the bumper to. If you don't want a super smic I would just go ahead the get a fmic.

Its more bling! :thumb:
