1g CAS on 98 GST with 1g head, Please Help!

What specific steps would i need to take in order to install a 1g CAS with black cover on my 98 gst? I am installing a 93 gsx head on my 98 gst. I was looking at a CAS from a 94 eclipse and it appears that i would connect right up to the 2g connection. I was planning on using my 97-99 CAS but i would have to drill and tap the intake cam on the 1g head and with this CAS i wouldnt have to drill and tap anything or splice any cables.

Thats for installing a 1g CAS with a green cover. The CAS with the black cover is different.

Forgett al this man, i'm just going to tap my intake cam for the 97-99 CAS and get it over with.

I never understood this. Maybe mine just came with a different set of cams when I bought it but my 2g came with the intake cam notched already for the CAS. All I had to do was pull off the little round rubber piece (which coincidentally fits in the hole when you pull out the front balance shaft) and fit the CAS in.

You have a 95 dsm, yours is completely different, which CAS did you use?

How deep does the tap have to go into the intake cam?
