So I'm about close to done rebuilding my 7bolt on my 2g and I have a 1g cas, the hall effect sensor which is the best one afaik, just wondering if it was worth it to use the 1g cas?

I already started reading this and this

I'm a bit confused on the injector trigger wires, but the rest seems simple, and yes, I do have a pigtail for the 1g cas.

If I did all this, could I put a 1g cam gear on the intake cam, or should I not even bother?(I have some 1g cams sitting around)

Also, would this mess anything up with my evo8 ecu I'm planning on using?

Digging a bit deep(for myself at least), any help is appreciated.

Thanks

The 1g is an optical sensor but is adjustable. I'm guessing you mean the stock 95 hall effect sensors? If so chuck those and use the pigtails off them for your 1g cas. You can put whatever cam gears you want on there if you ditch the 95 sensor.

I'm not sure on the evo ecu. Maybe a 2g blacktop would be better for a evo8 ecu but I can't say for sure. I was just thinking the 2g blacktop is a hall effect so it would probably work better with the evo ecu.

Right now I have it how it's set up for a 95, and by hall effect sensor, I mean I have the black top 1g cas. For the wiring from the 95 crank and cam sensor plugs to the 1g cas plug easy, but I'm lost on this part,

Taken from rre "Due to the inverted Cam signal, injector trigger wires will need to be switch on 95-96 year ECU cars with this wiring diagram in order to bring the signals back into phase. The difference is subtle, but the motor will start easier, provide smoother idle, and have less hesitations during mild acceleration."

I know it says I don't need to do this, but I'd rather do it properly and make sure everything's running to the best of its ability. All I can find is to change it on dsmlink but I'm using an evo8 ecu. So lost! Ah..

I just changed my plug wires around and swapped the signal in ecmlink. I'm using the 2g ecu though. The best I could say to do is just try it and if it runs like crap then look more into doing it "proper".
