1g cas all the same?

Are all 1g cam angle sensors the same? I have a 92 laser that will drive one day fine then run very badly the next and throw a cel with the cam angle sensor code. I bought a used one online and the wire hookup is a little different. Just want to make sure it's going to work.

The 90 style has a long pigtail attached, the 91-94 just plug in

So it should work if it's a 90 sensor in my 92 I'll just have to splice the wires then. Thanks!
