I am currently at work and the car is at home and there is a home depot right next to me..I need to get a hose for my talon from the bov to the intake because I went with the short route intercooler can someone please tell me what size the opening is on the 1st gen bov so I can buy hose before I leave from work.

Thanks

Are you sure someone told me that its around 1 1/4 inches inside diameter and the hose is expensive and non-refundable so I need to be exact...Thanks

Go buy a radiator hose from a auto parts store. It will be refundable if it doesnt fit.

This is the best thing to do. As they haave hundreds of hoses to choose from with hundreds of different bends. Its will be under $10 and you can return it if it dosent fit.

I'll take 1-1/8" for $500, Alex.

I installed 1" on a car when I was in a pinch once with the aid of some silicone spray, but I had to cut it to remove it. A piece of 1-1/4" will work as well- you can clamp it down the extra 1/8". No need to worry about leaks as there isn't a tremendous amount of pressure on the BOV outlet.

yeah, like a few others have already stated, a simple piece of radiator hose will do the job just fine. thats what i'm using for mine and haven't had a problem with it yet, jus make sure you clamp both ends very well and follow it all up with a boost leak test. its never a bad thing to do no matter what you mess with. good luck. :thumb:

Thanks a lot...But I do have a funny angle and I think I would kink radiator hose so im just going to buy the tubing from home depot...

In the past I've bought the rad flex hoses from various auto parts stores and they work prefectly. They have a metal spring built into them so they're impossible to kink shut. They're very flexible, and come in a variety of lengths to suit your needs.

That's why you get radiator hoses with bends in them. You can get it into any shape your heart desires. Or you can get home depot stuff that may or may not hold up to underhood temps....

Allright sounds good..Im going to look into the flex hose because your right about under hood temps.
