1g 90 to 92 front end conversion?

hey guys im new 2 the forums and dsm.i just wanted to start off by saying im very happy to be hear.

now i know this has been talked about already but i have a few questions about it..i just bought my 90 tsi and the body needs some work.im going to buy a new hood,headlights,fenders and a bumper anyways.

well my question is what year 92 parts out of these actually line up fine?and along what part do i need to do some custom work? thank u.

any suggestions would be great

with everything you listed in your post you should be ok, i think i heard something about the rad support had top be modified but i could be wrong....... use the search button it is your friend

YES you can i recently just did it on my 90 everything lined up perfict u just have to rewire the lights and cut off the mounting tab's for the stock side lights

One question though...What is it about the 1gb front end that made you want to swap?

recently in jauary I got into an accedent slid into someone on ice it wasnt to bad mainly just the hood and driver side frender so I decited to do the conversion.I got the fenders brand new for $90 and the bumper and hood for $120 used, the lights are just new smoked e-bay lights but they look good.It still need to be painted but right now im rebuilding the engine, it's at machine shope right now, just a mild build nothing crazy
