Hi,

Is it possible to swap a 1g intercooler pipe with attached 1g BOV into a 2g GS-T?

Also, is it safe to assume that inercooler pipe that fit a 1g will also fit a 2g?

Thanks,

Hi,
It should not be a problem. The 1g and 2g throttle bodies face the same direction on the turbo models(towards the passenger side). Also, the throttle body flanges on 1st and 2nd generation Turbo E/T/L use the same bolt pattern, so it will bolt right up. Take a look at all the pictures of the engine bays in the gallery. Just make sure it doesn't route into anything.

I see a problem with it, as on a 1g the fuse box is not anywhere near the pipe routing. On a 2g, the uicp runs UNDER the fuse panel and then up. I don't think it will work, but you can give it a try i suppose for kicks.

your going to have to modify the 1g intercooler pipe to fit in a 2g engine bay. The main problem will be the fuse box being in the way. But if you modify it....it will work.
