1999 gst really messed up

ok im posting this for my friend. He has a stock 1999 gst with a type rs bov un recurlated. i know that bad but he played with his stock fuel pressure regulator and now his car is running pig rich. does anyone know how many turns to set it back to stock? thanks

Its running rich because his BOV is vented. To fix this problem, recirc the BOV.
The car, in stock form, should run a little rich anyways.

but he turned his stock fule pressure reg. and its not at stock setting

Tell him to recirculate it and then see if he runs rich.

Do a search on venting the BOV and you will see all the problems that this causes.

Is it smoking black? or are you reading it through a datalogger?

I didn't even know our stock FPR could be adjusted
learn something new everyday I suppose.

I have seen the knob on it. But I have never had proof (via logger) that it does anything.

So if that was the case, hook up a logger to his car, and adjust the knob back.(if it is adjustable.)

ok put a loger on it and its running rich and played wt the knob and it didnt do anything. anyone else have any ideas?

That "knob" is just a dust cap for the vent. The factory knob is non-adjustable.
Recirculate, and give the ECU some time to re-adjust itself. A few hundred miles.
