1998 gsx radiator fan help

My driver side fan doesnt seem to go one at all. Ive replaced the relay and still nothing. Is there a way to test the fan itself or is there something else i can do? I don't wanna spend $460.00 to get a new fan motor when i can just buy a whole new aftermarket fan kit for the same price. Any Suggestions?

if im not mistaken... and i may be, i think it may only go on with the air conditioning system. im just not sure cause im only running one and its the passenger side.

To test the fan, turn the key to the on postition(don't start the car) and turn the a/c on. If the fan works, it will come on.

EDIT: The a/c fan on my 95 nt is on the passenger side

check and see if there is power going to the fan. if you need a new fan they are very easy to replace and you can find a stock fan on ebay for about 50 bucks... but you need to find out first if it is electrical or if the fan/motor itself is bad first.

Thanks for the help. But just for assurance isn't the driver side fan the main cooling fan and the passanger side the ac fan? Just from what i read in past threads there been alot of confusion on which is which. My car is a 1998 gsx.

i dont believe so only because im only running the passenger side on mine and i have no overheating problems... knock on wood. but i am pretty sure driver is a/c and passenger is the main fan.

driver side i believe is the a/c fan.. its been a while since i have had them tho.. quick way to find out.. turn on your a/c in the car.. hich fan turns on?? dun dun duh... you figured out which fan is the a/c fan from whichever lites up...

The passenger side fan is the main one, that's why it's bigger. Turn your AC on to see if the other one works.

Alright i'm going to go and test it with the ignition on and turn on my a/c. Thanks for the help from everyone.
