- Part I: The Wiring Gremlins -
Well, I guess this is one way to start a build thread; I have owned my DSM for about a month now. An up till about a week ago it was running like a dream, then my dad was driving it, and it acted as it was out of gas so, we assumed it was a fuel pump. Oh, how we were so wrong; it was due to the fact that at some point in "Ellie's" Life she had been on fire, and it must have melted the sleeve around the harness. I traced the problem to the Coil Pack Connector, I cut rewired to the stock harness and Nothin'. I then applied direct power to the coil pack and left the grounds to the ECU, but that lead to a terrible misfire and the car ended up frying a coil pack and dying back out, I then decided to rewire directly from my ECU. Now Ellie is driving under her own power with no missing!
