I have a 1997 eclipse that I'm debating turboing. The reason is that while driving around a turn in snow hit a big pothole ad put a hole in the oil pan and I did no notice the hole. Eventually ran out of oil but light didn't come on. And I spun rod bearings. After replacing them drove for 30 miles and bearing spun again and this time snapped a rod and broke piston. So i removed te engine this time and I'm going to rebuild it completely so My question is since I'm rebuilding if I were to turbo what would I need? And how could I do it cheapest. Thanks - Jon

Well it all depends on what you are looking for power wise, how much boost you want, if you want it to be a daily driver, strictly track or just a little more go under the hood, there are numerous turbo kits out there for the 420a one that i would recommend is from Hahn's Racecraft.

If I were to rebuild it back to stock and resell it what could I expect to sell it for? The body is in great shape. no rust anywhere.

Check on Craigslist to get an idea of what they're going for. I got my tsi awd for 2300. Has miles and the body needs a little tlc but it runs great. There's good deals out there.

i would say to expect around 2500 for a running car thats what i got my car for and it was in good shape.

You could just buy a roller also swap over all your interior and whatever else you may need, then throw a 63 motor in that as well, it may be a cheaper alternative
