I have an 1995 GSX with an EPROM ecu and Link V3. My car was a wiring nightmare and the interior was pretty bad when I bought it. I have done a decent amount to try and bring it up to par but still have problems (dash lights now don't work, directionals don't work, many service lights etc.) I found a pretty nice 1999 Eclipse GSX with a blown motor and was being sold as a rolling chassis. I was wondering if I bought the 1999 Eclipse and swapped my motor, could I run the 1999 wiring harness or do I have to swap my wiring harness over?

Hey man yes you will have to do something because the 95 ecu is different from your 99 you can either re-pin your 99 or use the other one.

I would think you should be ok since many 99/98s swap out their ECU for a 95 EPROM too. Just make sure to swap around the spark plugs for the different firing order.

I have a 95 ECU in my 99. You normally just plug it in , swap the plug wires and check the invert CAS box in link but since you are using the 95 motor in the 99 it may be different. If you use the 95 cam angle sensor you will have to splice in the connector for it to plug into the 99 harness or you could take the sensor off the 99 motor and use that but then you will also have to swap the intake cam. If you use the 95 cam angle sensor you won't invert the CAS in dsmlink.

On my 1995 wiring harness, the CAS is under the intake cam on the drivers side. The CAS located on the side of the intake cam on the passenger side is not being used. The previous owner seems to have spliced in a Non95-96 CAS into my wiring harness since there is a trailer plug that goes to the newer CAS.
